Independent technology guidance for veterinary practices

Veterinary software should make clinical work easier, not more complicated.

VetStack provides independent advice to veterinary practices exploring new technology, reviewing existing systems or trying to improve how software fits within everyday clinical workflows.

Many veterinary practices now rely on multiple software systems to manage clinical records, client communication, payments and reporting.

While these tools promise efficiency, they can also introduce complexity, duplication and workflow friction if they are not implemented carefully.

VetStack helps practices step back and evaluate how technology is actually supporting the clinical team.

Software Selection

Helping practices evaluate new software platforms such as practice management systems, AI documentation tools or client communication platforms.

Independent Vendor Insight

Providing practices with a neutral perspective on the veterinary software landscape.

Workflow Review

Looking at how technology fits into day-to-day clinical operations and identifying opportunities to reduce friction.

Technology Strategy

Helping practice leaders understand which technologies are worth exploring and which trends may not yet be ready for clinical environments.

Veterinary Software Implementation Support

Introducing new software into a veterinary practice is rarely just a technical exercise. Successful implementation requires careful planning, realistic workflow design and support for the clinical team as they adapt to new systems.

VetStack provides independent implementation support to help practices introduce new technology in a way that works for the whole team.

This can include:

• supporting practice management system transitions
• helping teams adopt new clinical documentation tools such as AI scribes
• designing workflows that reduce duplication and administrative burden
• helping practices integrate multiple software platforms into a coherent workflow

VetStack works alongside practices during key stages of implementation to help ensure technology delivers the benefits it promises.

VetStack was founded by Ricky Sussams, a specialist in veterinary software and practice technology.

Ricky has spent much of his career working across the veterinary profession and veterinary technology sector. Earlier in his career he worked within major veterinary groups including CVS, VetPartners and IVC Evidensia, where he held operational roles including Practice Group Manager, giving him direct experience of how veterinary clinics operate and how technology decisions are made within practices.

He later moved into veterinary technology companies including PetsApp and Lupa, supporting practices as they introduced new systems, improved workflows and adopted modern software platforms.

This experience provides a practical understanding of the challenges veterinary teams face when introducing new technology, from workflow disruption and team adoption to ensuring software genuinely improves clinical operations.

VetStack was created to provide veterinary practices with an independent perspective on technology and to help ensure software supports clinical teams rather than adding unnecessary complexity.

Why Practices Value Independent Advice

Veterinary software decisions can be difficult because most information comes directly from vendors.

VetStack provides an independent perspective, helping practices understand how technology is used across the profession and what works well in real clinical environments.

Connecting Practices with the Wider Technology Ecosystem

VetStack works across the veterinary technology ecosystem, supporting both software companies and veterinary practices.

This perspective allows VetStack to help clinics understand how the technology landscape is evolving and how new tools may affect the profession.
